Heather Hurran
Speech and Language Therapist

Having qualified from University College London in 1993, Heather worked initially in a demanding rural community post quickly building experience and developing a true value for Multi Disciplinary working.
Over several years Heather has developed clinical skills in working in paediatric, adults and Learning disability in various settings from acute hospitals to small rural classrooms.
At Ludlow Street Healthcare, our Speech and Language therapy focuses on enabling people to achieve their potential in communication. We assess and treat a wide range of clients and incorporate their personal requirements which can include

- Communication aids
- Signs, symbols or PECS
- Voice therapy
- Group work
- Chatterbox
- Swallow management

In 2005 Heather took on the challenge to travel and experience working in other countries and gain even more experience which on her return eventually led her to join Ludlow Street Healthcare.
Heather finds that the diversity of the clients is a constant challenge and the opportunity to work alongside colleagues from multidisciplinary backgrounds is very rewarding.
